- Unlimited evaluation time removes deadline panic — a structural form of risk management
- Main options: FTMO, The5%ers High Stakes, Fintokei ProTrader/SwiftTrader, FundedNext Stellar
- Watch the fine print: most require minimum activity (e.g. one trade per 30 days)
- Minimum trading days and loss rules still apply as usual
Why “no time limit” matters
The old industry standard was “+10% within 30 days.” As the clock ran down, traders sized up, chased losses and hit the daily loss limit — the classic failure sequence. By 2026, most reputable firms have dropped evaluation deadlines, and choosing an unlimited plan removes that pressure by design.

FTMO — both phases unlimited
FTMO (founded 2015) removed deadlines from both the Challenge (+10% target) and Verification (+5%).
- 4 minimum trading days per phase
- Loss limits: -5% daily, -10% overall
- Full fee refund with the first payout after passing
If you trade two evening hours around a day job, you can still pass over several months at your own pace. See the FTMO rules explained.
The5%ers High Stakes — unlimited time at a low price
The5%ers (founded 2016) runs High Stakes, a two-step 10% → 5% evaluation with no deadline.
- From $19 for the smallest ($2,500) account — the cheapest unlimited entry among established firms
- 80% profit split after funding
- Payouts on a bi-weekly cycle with a $150 minimum
Low cost plus unlimited time suits a “multiple patient attempts” strategy. See The5%ers programs compared. Coupon code HZZS4 applies at checkout.
Fintokei ProTrader / SwiftTrader — unlimited, with a 30-day catch
Fintokei offers ProTrader (two steps, 8% → 6%) and SwiftTrader (one step, 10%) with effectively unlimited time.
The catch worth knowing: Fintokei requires at least one new or closed trade every 30 days, or the account lapses. You cannot park it for a quiet month. One small trade per month keeps it alive — set a calendar reminder.
Note that the entry-level StartTrader plan is the exception: 180 days per step. See the Fintokei plans comparison. Coupon code FINTO5KEI takes 5% off.
Non-partner options: FundedNext and FundingPips
FundedNext (founded 2022) applies no time limit across its Stellar line; the 1-Step version targets 10% with just two minimum trading days, and fees are refunded with the first payout (except Stellar Instant).
FundingPips (founded 2022) is also generally reported to run evaluations without deadlines, but its payout and split structures changed substantially in 2026 and terms move fast — verify current rules on the official site.
Three things “unlimited” does not cover
- Activity requirements — idle accounts expire; unlimited is not unattended
- Minimum trading days — typically 2 to 5 days per phase are still required
- Loss rules — daily and overall drawdown limits apply at all times
The daily loss limit ends evaluations regardless of deadlines. Pair this article with risk management for the evaluation.

Bottom line
Unlimited time is less about going slow and more about removing the panic that makes traders self-destruct. For part-time traders especially, make it a non-negotiable filter. Prop firms do not guarantee profits; the final decision is yours.
