TL;DR — start with who will actually take you
Most “best prop firms Indonesia” articles are copy-pasted from global lists, and the first firm they recommend is usually FTMO. That is a problem, because Indonesia appears on FTMO’s own restricted-country list. An Indonesian resident cannot buy an FTMO Challenge, and any article that says otherwise has not read the official FAQ.
Here is the eligibility picture, checked against each firm’s official pages as of July 2026.
| Firm | Model | Accepts Indonesian residents? | Pricing | Profit split |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The5%ers | FX/metals — evaluation or instant funding | Yes — not on the official banned list | From $95 | 50–100% by program |
| FundedNext | FX/CFD evaluation | Yes — not on the official restricted list | $59–$1,099 | 80–90% |
| FundingPips | FX/CFD, 1/2/3-step | Not on the published restricted list — re-verify at checkout | From $19 | See official site |
| Fintokei | FX/CFD evaluation | Not on the published restricted list — re-verify at checkout | See official site | 80%, rising to 90% |
| FTMO | FX/CFD two-step | No — Indonesia is on the restricted list | $89–$1,080 | 80%, up to 90% |
| Topstep | CME futures | No — Indonesia is on the ineligible list | $49–$149/mo | 90/10 (pre-2026 accounts: 100% of first $10,000) |
Two of the biggest names in the industry — FTMO and Topstep — are off the table. The realistic Indonesian shortlist is The5%ers and FundedNext, with FundingPips and Fintokei as options worth confirming directly before payment.
The regulatory picture: Bappebti, OJK, and blocked domains
Indonesia polices retail trading access more actively than most countries in the region, and it does so at the infrastructure level.
Bappebti, the commodity futures regulator under the Ministry of Trade, works with the communications ministry (Kominfo, now Komdigi) to block the domains of unlicensed trading platforms. In 2021 alone the two agencies blocked 1,222 illegal futures- and forex-related sites, including binary-options brands and offshore broker mirrors, and the blocking program has continued since. No foreign prop firm holds a Bappebti license, and none of the firms in this guide is authorized by any Indonesian regulator.
The consequences for a prop trader are practical rather than criminal. Indonesian enforcement has historically targeted platform operators and fraudulent schemes, not individual retail participants. But a firm’s website can become unreachable from an Indonesian connection without warning, and if a firm refuses a payout, no Indonesian regulator will take your side. There is no OJK or Bappebti complaint channel for a dispute with a Czech or Emirati prop firm.
One structural change worth knowing: since January 10, 2025, supervision of crypto assets moved from Bappebti to OJK, the financial services authority, under Government Regulation 49/2024. Crypto is now classified as a digital financial asset and traded legally on OJK-supervised exchanges — relevant below, because crypto is one of the more reliable payout rails for Indonesian traders.
We will not call any of this “legal in Indonesia,” because no regulator has said so. The honest framing is an unregulated gray zone with real access risk. Size your involvement accordingly.
The honest numbers before you pay anyone
An FPFX Technologies analysis of 300,000+ prop firm accounts found that only about 14% of traders pass their evaluation, only about 7% ever reach a payout, and the average payout is roughly 4% of the nominal plan size. Those figures come from a technology provider that processes accounts for a large slice of the industry.
For an Indonesian trader the arithmetic matters even more, because a $95–$500 challenge fee is a larger share of local income than it is in the markets these firms usually advertise to. Budget for more than one attempt, set a hard ceiling, and read the notes on pass rates and evaluation risk management before you start.
The firms that accept Indonesia, one by one
The5%ers — the most established option open to Indonesia
The5%ers, founded in 2016, is one of the oldest firms in the industry and publishes a banned-country list of around 34 countries and territories; Indonesia is not on it. With FTMO unavailable, this is the closest thing Indonesian traders have to an industry-reference choice.
- Three programs: High-Stakes Challenge (one-step evaluation), Bootcamp (step-up funding), and Instant Funding (no evaluation at all)
- Entry pricing from $95
- Profit split from 50–80% by program, scaling to 100% over time
- Scaling ceiling of $4 million, among the largest published
- Platforms: MT4, MT5, Match-Trader
For a first-time buyer, Bootcamp’s step-up route keeps the initial cost low and grows the account only when the trading justifies it. The The5%ers rules breakdown and how to start with The5%ers cover the mechanics.
FundedNext — accepts Indonesia, honest non-partner pick
FundedNext, operating from Dubai since 2022, restricts a list of countries that includes Bangladesh, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka — but not Indonesia, per its official help center. We have no affiliate relationship with FundedNext; it is here because it fits.
- Challenge fees $59–$1,099 by account size
- Profit split 80–90%
- Payouts on a 14-day cycle
- Platforms: MT4, MT5
One caution that has nothing to do with Indonesia: the RBI in India placed FundedNext on its FEMA Alert List in 2024. That is an Indian regulatory matter, but it is a reminder that this firm, like every firm on this page, operates outside any regulator that would protect you.
FundingPips — the cheapest entry ticket
FundingPips, also Dubai-based and founded in 2022, is the low-cost option: evaluations start from $19, with one-, two-, and three-step models and a five-day payout cycle on MT4, MT5, cTrader, and Match-Trader. Indonesia does not appear on its published restricted list, but the firm has changed country terms before — confirm at checkout before paying. Also a non-partner pick.
A $19 evaluation is the cheapest way in the industry to find out whether you can trade to a rule set. It is also small enough that the account parameters are tight; read the drawdown rules carefully.
Fintokei — the Asia-focused challenger
Fintokei launched in 2023, is operated by a Prague-registered company, and built its initial base in Japan before expanding across Asia. Its published restricted list (which permanently excludes the USA and India, among others) does not include Indonesia, but per-country acceptance for newer firms changes quickly — verify with support before purchasing.
- Plans: StartTrader, ProTrader, SwiftTrader
- Profit split 80%, rising to 90%
- Maximum allocation $400,000 with scaling
- Platforms: MT4, MT5, DXtrade
The Fintokei rules breakdown covers the plan differences.
Why not FTMO or Topstep
FTMO excludes Indonesia on its official restricted list for business and risk-management reasons — no workaround exists, and using a VPN or a foreign address to sign up is a breach of contract that forfeits any payout. Topstep likewise lists Indonesia as ineligible, based on both citizenship and residency. If either firm changes its list, this guide will be updated; until then, do not buy access through third parties or misrepresent your residency.
Paying in and getting paid from Indonesia
Payment rails are where Indonesia-facing guides go vague, so here is the realistic picture.
- Buying a challenge: international debit/credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) work with all four firms above; some also accept crypto payment.
- Bank wires: possible but slow and fee-heavy for small amounts, and international transfers to Indonesian accounts pass through correspondent banks.
- Crypto: legal in Indonesia as a regulated digital financial asset under OJK supervision since January 2025 — not legal tender, but a payout in USDT or BTC converted on a licensed local exchange is often the fastest rail. How each firm handles crypto payouts varies; check the official payout page.
- E-wallets: Skrill and similar wallets are supported by some firms but availability for Indonesian users changes; verify before relying on it.
More detail on rails across the industry is in the withdrawal methods guide. On tax: prop firm payouts are income, and Indonesian residents are taxed on worldwide income. Keep records of every payout and conversion, and talk to a local tax professional rather than relying on any article, including this one.
The time-zone advantage nobody mentions
Western Indonesia Time (WIB, UTC+7) is genuinely good for FX trading around a day job. The London session opens at roughly 2–3pm WIB depending on the season, and the New York session comes in around 8:30pm WIB. That means the two most liquid sessions of the day run through the Indonesian afternoon and evening — no 3am alarms required, unlike traders in the Americas trying to catch London.
How to choose if you proceed
First, shortlist only firms that verifiably accept Indonesia — that is the whole point of this page. Second, set a total budget before your first payment; at a 14% pass rate the realistic plan involves more than one attempt. Third, read the drawdown and payout rules as one package, because a generous split is worthless if the drawdown rule ends the account first. The how to choose guide and the scam-pattern checklist cover the vetting process.
No prop firm, and no article, can guarantee profits. Final decisions — trading, payments, and tax — are your own, and this site does not provide investment or legal advice.
