• $22 buys step one; steps two and three are free, and passing all three converts to a $20,000 funded account for a one-time $50 fee
  • Each step: +6% target, 5% max loss, unlimited time, 1:30 leverage
  • Total cost of $72 for $20K funding is the cheapest realistic route in the industry — paid for in months of patient trading, not weeks

Bootcamp is the low-cost, three-step evaluation from The5%ers (founded 2016). The figures below reflect the official site as of July 2026; the firm revises terms fairly often, so confirm current conditions before buying.

The short version: Bootcamp is the cheapest realistic path to a funded account anywhere in the industry, and also a program whose effective difficulty is higher than the $22 price tag suggests. Both halves of that sentence matter.

The three steps

You pay once, at the start. Passing all three steps converts the account to a $20,000 funded account against a one-time $50 activation fee.

The official Bootcamp page does not state any minimum trading days as of this writing. Conditions like this change, so check the help center before purchase rather than relying on any review, including this one.

The funded account

The profit split starts around 50/50 and rises with balance, reaching 100% at the highest tiers of the official scaling table (the $2.5M+ area). The mechanics are covered in The5%ers scaling explained.

Payouts follow the standard The5%ers funded-trader terms: bi-weekly cycle, $150 minimum, paid via Rise, bank transfer, or crypto. Details in The5%ers payout guide.

The cost math: $72 for a $20K account

Add it up and the entire route costs $72 — $22 for the evaluation plus the $50 activation fee. Challenges targeting a $10K–$25K funded account routinely cost $100 or more elsewhere, so on a dollars-paid-per-dollar-funded basis, Bootcamp is about as cheap as the industry gets. And if you fail, you have lost $22, which is the lowest cost of failure available anywhere.

That number is genuinely attractive. It is also not the whole picture.

The honest part: harder than the price implies

Three consecutive 6% targets on 5% of room

Each step asks for +6% while allowing only 5% of drawdown — a target larger than your loss budget, three times in a row, with no step you can afford to blow. If each step takes a few weeks of disciplined trading, the realistic timeline to funding is measured in months.

For contrast, the firm’s own High Stakes program is two steps (10% then 5%) with a 10% max loss and 5% daily limit — considerably more room on the loss side. Bootcamp is not cheap because it is easy; it is cheap because you pay in steps and precision instead of dollars. See The5%ers programs compared for the full picture.

1:30 leverage

Leverage is 1:30 at every level, versus 1:100 on High Stakes. Within a 6%-target, 5%-loss frame you could not sensibly run oversized positions anyway, but high-frequency, lot-heavy styles will feel the ceiling. Bootcamp rewards traders who carry a small number of well-planned positions.

Operational fine print

  • A trader may hold at most 4 active Bootcamp accounts
  • Accounts with no activity for 30 consecutive days are closed — relevant for a program this slow
  • Unlimited time does not mean you can shelve the account indefinitely

Who should (and should not) take this route

Bootcamp fits traders with a minimal budget, a multi-month horizon, and beginners who want to practice prop-firm rules at the lowest possible cost of failure. It does not fit anyone who wants to be trading funded capital soon — for that, look at High Stakes or the no-evaluation Hyper Growth.

Verdict

$72 for a $20,000 funded account with a scaling path to $4M is the best cost-efficiency in the industry, full stop. The price you actually pay is time and consistency: three clean +6% runs at 1:30 leverage, over a horizon of months. If you can plan in months rather than weeks, Bootcamp is the rational low-budget entry. If you cannot, the cheap ticket will only buy you a long queue.
